About USA Arms

USA Arms started after a father bought a handgun in a constitutional carry state. The thinking was simple enough: everyone around here owns guns, so we should probably have one too.

Then, in normal fashion, he fell down the rabbit hole. He realized plenty of neighbors owned guns, but almost nobody actually shot much. If he was going to own one, he should train with it and understand the community around it.

That meant visiting dozens of local websites, trying to build a calendar of lessons, researching instructors, comparing ranges, finding places that did not show up cleanly on Google Maps, checking public land options, and eventually joining a group that trains multiple times a week.

None of that should be as scattered as it is. The information exists, but it is spread across business websites, public records, old directories, search results, social pages, and word of mouth.

With a tech background, he started building the tool he wished existed when he was getting started: a practical directory for finding ranges, shops, instructors, gunsmiths, ammunition retailers, manufacturers, training opportunities, and local resources.

USA Arms is not finished, and it probably never will be. The gun community changes all the time. Businesses move, classes fill up, ranges change rules, instructors add programs, and new resources appear. The site should keep improving with it.

USA Arms is a directory, not a gun store. It does not sell firearms, ammunition, transfers, background checks, classes, or FFL services. Listings are starting points; contact the business directly before relying on hours, inventory, pricing, services, eligibility, or appointment details.
