He holds certifications from the NRA, USCCA, and Mid-South Institute.

Jared served as an infantry Marine from 1997 to 2003. He became a Range Master at Front Sight, teaching Defensive Handgun, Tactical Handgun, Rifle, and Ropes & Rappel. He later served as Lead Instructor at Prairie Fire. Jared is NRA and Mid-South Institute certified.
